We're all anxious for life to go back to "normal" whatever that will look like. The first step in that process is getting kids back to school, in-person, learning the way they traditionally learned. However, we are still in the midst of a global pandemic and waiting for vaccines to rollout to the general public.
Still, many schools are bringing kids back in the new year to in-person classes. This can cause stress and anxiety for both parents and children, despite excitement about being back to class.
Dr. Krystal Lewis from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) spoke with Sole Source in the fall about these stressors for parents and children, how to recognize them and how to cope with them. Now as kids prepare to go back to school in-person again following the holidays, we thought this would be a good podcast to rerun while we work to line up new guests for you all in 2021!
